I will sing to the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God
while I have my being.
How We Started
Men of Haith is made up of our family’s four brothers and their father. We uplift and magnify the Lord through the ministry of song. We began singing in local and jurisdictional church services, then, in January 2015, we were invited to sing at our first event: Women Standing Tall Tea Party. Ever since then, we have been invited to sing at numerous functions such as pastoral anniversaries, political campaign gatherings, unity conferences, youth services, luncheons, and even a stage play. One notable event we were honored to be a part of was a local National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) celebration for Martin Luther King Jr. in 2017.
We have also been featured on a television WBKO Morning News Show, The News Enterprise newspaper (more than once), on an online national radio station (more than once), and sang at a Bowling Green Hot Rods Minor League Baseball game. MOH has also had the distinct privilege and honor to minister at our first concert in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The family is now spreading the gospel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area metroplex. We look forward to the great things God has in store for us here!
Author Neil T. Anderson stated:
“Being filled and led by the Spirit may take you places you never planned.”
We can’t agree more and as Psalm 118:23 states, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes!”
Getting to Know Us
The patriarch of the family has recently retired from the U.S. Army with 25 years of service. He is a devoted husband and father who loves to spend time with his family, and will do anything it takes to make sure they are happy and healthy. Everyone looks forward to dinner time because that is when they have special entertainment; one special feature is Taj’s captivating storytelling of the boys’ self-written mini-novels. Taj loves to collect miniature cars. He also enjoys singing with his sons and watching television. Some things on his bucket list is to take his wife to Paris, France, and to travel the world. His favorite singers are Fred Hammond, Jonathan Butler, John P Kee, and Take 6.
Taj, also known as “The Pied Piper,” is a flamboyant extrovert who attracts people everywhere he goes. He plans to use that charisma on stage as an actor and performer one day. Taj also wants to lead people to Christ through his music. He enjoys making music, dancing, and putting smiles on everyone’s faces. Taj’s bucket list includes witnessing a meteor shower, seeing the Northern Lights, and going skydiving. His favorite singers are Jonathan McReynolds, Take 6, Michael Jackson, and Bruno Mars.
Elijah is the sweetheart of the group. In his life he has managed to capture the hearts of many people with his loving demeanor. Although he is a perfect gentleman, he is fiercely protective of his family. Elijah enjoys playing with his brothers, cooking, and playing video games. His bucket list includes viewing the Northern Lights and visiting Paris. One thing he strongly desires is for God’s church to be in unity. Elijah wants to be a chef and a contestant on The Food Network’s Chopped. His favorite singers are Sam Cooke and Fred Hammond.
As a military brat, Xavier has lived in four U.S. states in his 11 short years. His hobbies include practicing his Jedi Master skills, playing video games, peer counseling, helping with his little sister, and being an inspiration to others. He is truly a peacemaker and always tries to find the bright side of things, encouraging others to do the same. One day Xavier would like to see the Northern Lights and a blue moon. He also plans to experience holding a real diamond in his hand. Xavier’s career goals are to be an Army Ranger and musician. Xavier’s favorite singers are the Second Chance Spirituals and Sam Cooke.
